A conference titled ‘Transatlantic Connections 2′ will be held from 15th – 18th January 2015 in Bundoran, Co. Donegal.This conference is being hosted by Drew University, New Jersey. Keynote speakers include Liam O’Cuinnegain, Theo Dorgan, Don Mullan, Christine Kinealy and Mick Moloney.

Last year, the first Transatlantic Connections Conference was a tremendous success, with over 70 presenters covering topics in panels ranging from History and Literature to Surf Culture and Film Studies. In 2015, topics have been extended and will include Traditional Irish Music, The Irish Language, Medical Humanities, and Skateboard Culture.

The Drew University Transatlantic Connections Conference is a unique, multi-disciplinary conference embracing the connections between Ireland and the United States. The Transatlantic Connections Conference is a collaboration between Drew University and the Institute of Study Abroad Ireland, which is based in Bundoran. The Conference is unusual in that it is open to the Irish public, and there is a full program of cultural activity and entertainment timetabled as part of the conference. It is a place where scholars and researchers can meet artists, writers, local historians and practitioners  of the history and culture.
